Abstract:

Background and Purpose: Exercise plays an important role in the antioxidant defense system, and Regular and moderate physical activity improves the body's antioxidant status and reduces the production of free radicals in the body, And possibly reduce cellular damage. But strenuous and intense exercise can produce free radicals, cellular damage, and increased oxidative stress. On the other hand, it has been suggested that Oxidative stress tolerance can be mediated by stress proteins such as hemeoxygenase. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of strenuous endurance training on the levels of hemeoxygenase-1 and TNF-α in gastric and intestinal tissues of male Wistar rats. Materials and Methods: 16 male Wistar rats randomly divided into two groups (control and strenuous endurance training). the endurance training protocol consisted of aerobic exercise running on a treadmill for 8 weeks( 5 days a week). standard meal and water were freely provided for the subjects. 48 hours after the last session of training and 4 hours of overnight fasting tissue samples were collected and Hemeoxygenase-1 and TNF-α levels were measured using Eliza method. to analyze the data, Independent t-test was used. Findings: The results showed that 8 weeks strenuous endurance training had no significant effect on the level of hemeoxygenase-1 in gastric  and intestinal tissue of rats (p>0.05). Also, strenuous endurance training had no significant effect on the level of TNF-α in gastric  and intestinal tissue of  rats (p>0.05). Conclusion: Due to the fact that TNF-α levels do not change, it is possible that regular endurance exercise, by creating a beneficial adaptation in the antioxidant system, has made the tissues of the stomach and intestines immune to the destructive effects of intense endurance exercise.

The effect of 8 weeks of Strenuous Endurance Training on Heme oxygenase-1 and TNF-α in Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscle Tissue of male Wistar rats

Background and Objectives: Oxidative stress from exercise, either injured muscles and reduces performance in athletes, or stimulates the production of cytokines from many cells. body respond to oxidative stress by activating antioxidant defenses and other protective devices to counteract these body pressures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of 8  weeks of stren...

Effect of 4 Weeks Preconditioning with High Intensity Interval Training and Moderate Intensity Continuous Training on Brain Levels of TNF-Α and TLR4 in Male Wistar Rats

Introduction: Inflammation in the brain is known as neuroinflammation and increases TNF-α (Tumor necrosis factor alpha) secretion and activates the TLR4 (Toll-like receptor 4) pathway. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of 4 weeks preconditioning with high intensity intermittent training (HIIT) and moderate intensity training (MICT) on TNF-α and TLR4 levels in male Wistar rats. M...
